At Courtyards, we offer a full range of senior lifestyle options. This allows residents to age in place, easily transitioning to different levels of care as their needs change—all without the stress of having to move. Our different levels of care include:
- Independent senior living. For seniors who need limited assistance with their day-to-day routine, but would benefit from the social engagement, amenities, and security that our senior living community offers, we have independent living options, along with senior apartments, available to residents who live a more active lifestyle.
- Assisted living. For seniors who need more support with daily tasks or the assistance of an experienced caregiver, but still wish to maintain their desired level of independence, we offer assisted living.
- Short-term senior assisted living. In addition to assisted living, we offer short-term respite stays. This is a great option for seniors whose primary caregiver may be out of town, or when a resident needs time to rest and recover after a recent hospital stay.
- Memory care. If a senior is facing Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia, we offer a specialized memory care program that provides life-enriching activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our senior care professionals and caregivers can work with you to determine which level of care is the best fit for you or your aging loved one. We offer a full suite of eldercare services for every stage of life. Every move-in comes with a full assessment of need by one of our LPNs, and our diverse offerings focus on each resident’s unique personality, abilities, and preferred lifestyle. In addition to speaking with one of our senior care advisors, you may also find that our senior lifestyle survey helps you to better assess your senior care needs.
Here at Courtyards at River Park, we want each and every resident to make Courtyards their new home and community. Once a resident has moved in, we want their stay to be stress-free, giving them the chance to live their lives to the fullest—without having to worry about the details. That’s why we have an Age in Place model, where seniors can transition to different levels of care as their needs change—all without the stress of moving to a different home. We maintain very close communication with resident’s family members, and will create an ongoing conversation about any changes to a resident’s care plan or healthcare needs.
Courtyards at River Park was designed with senior comfort and safety in mind. For all of our residents, we offer an Emergency Pendant System to ensure everyone is safe. For our independent living and assisted living residents, our apartments feature grab bars in the bathrooms, roll in showers, and exterior doors that auto-lock at night. Our memory care residents are provided fully secure spaces to ensure their safety. On our staff, we have nurses, medication care managers, and ADL assistance, with on-call access to doctors. We have on-staff nurses 7-days a week, with nurses and LPNs available on-call afterhours. With our 24-hour awake staff, our assisted living and memory care residents receive around-the-clock support and supervision.
Unlike Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) or nursing homes, which provide around-the-clock care for elderly who require intensive medical assistance and monitoring, we do not offer 24-hour on-staff nursing. We do, however, offer licensed nursing services and a 24-hour awake staff to look after our residents and ensure their wellbeing. Our on-staff nurses work 7 days a week; after hours, on-call nurses are readily available 24-hours a day.
If you have additional questions about the differences between assisted living and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), we would be more than happy to discuss this with you, ensuring that our services meet the medical needs of you or your senior loved one. If you’d like to get in touch with one of our senior care advisors, please complete our online contact form.
Yes, while some of our assisted living residents may be in the very early stages of Alzheimer’s, we have a specialized memory care program that’s specifically designed to create a safe and nurturing space for seniors facing memory loss. Located near the Trinity River, our community is peaceful and serene, complete with tree-lined walking trails, green spaces, and outside sitting areas. We design our Fort Worth, TX-based memory care program to offer activities that stimulate the senses, trigger positive memories, improve cognition, encourage social bonding, and inspire affected seniors to feel more engaged with life. From art classes to hand massages to outings to the zoo, we offer a variety of activities for all of our memory care residents to enjoy! Our caregivers and staff are specially trained to understand the unique issues that arise among residents facing memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or other related dementias, and are equipped with the skills necessary to ensure that all memory care residents are given the care they need and deserve.
