Founded in 1988, Courtyards at River Park is an active senior living community in Fort Worth, Texas. Our community is set on nine picturesque acres along the Trinity River, featuring beautiful trees, peaceful walking trails, and lush gardens for all our residents to enjoy. Our charming setting, paired with our quality senior care services, attracts residents from out of state and throughout Texas, including Fort Worth, Benbrook, Arlington, and Keller

Our Senior Apartments lifestyle option is specifically designed for active seniors looking to enjoy a vibrant community of like-minded residents and take full advantage of our scheduled social programs. Specializing in Quality Care

For residents requiring a little more assistance, Courtyards at River Park offers an Assisted Living program. Whether our residents need help with medication management, grooming or dressing and bathing, our senior care professionals are here to help enhance their quality of life. Our specialized Memory Care option provides a safe and dignified space for seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other forms of progressive memory loss. Our senior care staff is experienced in monitoring our residents’ conditions, creating activities to strengthen their cognitive abilities, and providing personal support as needed. Finally, our Respite Care program offers full access to our amenities and services for seniors requiring short-term assistance after a hospital stay or illness.

Meet Our Caregivers and Senior Care Staff

Kevin Aruda

Executive Director

Born and raised in Texas, Kevin graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. degree in Hospitality Management. He spent most of his career managing five star hotels and resorts. Kevin began working in senior living over eight years ago with a focus on seniors in assisted living, memory care and independent living. He has a passion for helping seniors and creating a great environment for them to live through excellent service and care. After twenty years living outside of Texas, Kevin has returned to live and be near his family. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, bowling, camping and relaxing at the lake, on a river or at the beach.


Rebecca Covert

Assistant Executive Director

Becca was born and raised in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Work. When Becca and her family relocated to Texas eight years ago, she began work as the executive director of a senior living community before moving to Courtyards. Becca and her husband, Dan, live in Fort Worth, and have been married for 25 years. They have two daughters studying for their doctorates: Alexandria and Savannah.


Mario Hawkins

Community Outreach Director

With over 3 years of experience in senior living, Mario is energized and motivated with a strong focus on community outreach and transitional consulting for seniors. He's a proven performer in all aspects of sales and operation. Committed to creating and sustaining a can-do atmosphere for both residents and Staff, Mario has built a strong reputation as someone with vision, diligence and integrity – someone who gets things done! He is a 2-time winner of the Touch of Excellence award in senior living. Dedicated to his career, Mario says, "I'm intensely focused on finding a financial solution for families in need of finding a place like home."


Alfredo C. Mobbs

Building Services Manager

Alfredo has 4 wonderful children, and has been married to his wife, Ana, for 32 years. He has have been involved both in the Residential and Industrial maintenance industry for 23 years. Alfredo currently holds several certifications that pertain to the industry as well as his HVAC certification which he has had since 1993. He enjoys helping people, and feels very rewarded in doing so. Alfredo's hobbies are music, camping and spending time with his family and 3 grandchildren.


Mirka Hostase

Memory Care Coordinator

Raised in the Czech Republic, Mirka obtained a degree in Business Economics and moved at the age of 18 to become a Medical Assistant. She has worked with seniors for the past 17 years. Mirka started at the Courtyards as a Resident Assistant 1 year ago and is now the Memory Care Coordinator. She has 2 kids, ages 11 and 6. Outside of work, Mirka enjoys spending time with her kids, taking walks in nature and learning history.


Alejandra Roman

Business Office Manager

Alejandra started as the receptionist with the Courtyards at River Park before being promoted to her current role of business office manager. She loves to keep busy, and manages to do so spending time with her 2-year-old daughter, going to the gym, and studying at Tarrant County College. When she has the time, Alejandra also enjoys scrapbooking and painting.


Leslie Puente

Activity Director

Leslie has been an Activity Director for the last 9 years and spent close to 4 1/5 years working for Sears Methodist Retirement System in Lubbock, Texas were she obtained years of experience in Memory Care. The Garrison Geriatric Education Center was partnered with Texas Tech to be a research and teaching facility for the 60 beds of Dementia Care ranging from early to late stage Dementia. She was excited to share her knowledge of Dementia and Activity Programming at Couryards. Leslie has written many presentations and a training manual. Graduating from Hale Center High School in 2000, Leslie would like to finish her Bachelor of Science in Nursing by 2017. She is a mother of 3 wonderful children and loves to spend time with her family. Leslie also spends many days as a Youth Minister for her Church. She enjoys to cook and bake and is currently starting to write down her recipes so that she can hand them down to girls of her family.


Rosa Lopez

Housekeeping Supervisor

Rosa has worked at Courtyards for 28 years in the housekeeping department, after years working in hotels and in a clothing factory. At Courtyards, she loves that she and her hardworking team can make a difference in the lives of each resident every day. Rosa is very active in her church and likes to paint and spend time with her family.


Cristina Bawab

Health Services Director

Christina was born and raised in Romania and moved to USA at the age of 22. She obtained her degree in business administration from a university in Romania, then got her nursing degree when she moved to the States. She has worked in home health, long term care, memory care and assisted living facilities. Christina is married and has three wonderful kids: Cristopher, Gianna, and Lucas. On her days off, she likes to spend time with her kids, and she loves knowing that at the end of the day she made a difference in someone’s life.
